Meet Alyssa · Milford, NH
A baker’s dream. Our little corner of Milford.
The ideas, memories, and people behind Sugar Street Buns, our specialty bakery on the Milford Oval.
Hi, I’m Alyssa.
I’m the founder and head baker behind Sugar Street Buns in Milford, New Hampshire.
I grew up in Southwest Florida, where some of my happiest memories were made baking with my grandma. Mixing, rolling, and laughing together sparked a love for baking that stayed with me.
That love took me to the French Pastry School in Chicago, followed by years in professional pastry kitchens including the Four Seasons, Orsay, and Norman Love Confections.
Those experiences shaped how I bake, but Sugar Street Buns is where I get to make something of my own: thoughtful, creative food in a bakery that feels warm, personal, and rooted in our Milford community.
Because life’s too short for boring buns.
A little inspiration
in every batch.
The OG Cinnamon Bun is our signature, but it’s only the beginning. I love taking a familiar flavor, following an idea, and seeing what it can become, whether that’s a sweet bun, a savory combination, or a seasonal bake.
Our rotating bakery menu gives me room to keep creating. Gluten-free options are part of our daily lineup, too, something that’s personal to me after growing up with gluten restrictions in my family.
I want you to leave with something you’re excited to eat, and a reason to stop by again.
A little more of our story
The bakery.
Then the wedding.
On October 2, 2026, Charlie and I got married here in New Hampshire, just a month after opening Sugar Street Buns.
Charlie is my husband and my partner in this business. Building the bakery together has become part of our life, alongside our home in Milford and our two dogs, Milo and Remy.
When you stop in, you’re visiting a place that means a lot to us. I’m grateful we get to share a little of it with you.
